Product Description
This ground-breaking DVD has been developed with the specific aim to deter young people from carrying offensive weapons and put an end to the teenage knife culture. The DVD has 3 sections: . A music video called 'Tooled Up For School', specifically written to highlight the devastating effects weapons have in our schools. The track is performed by a Gospel Soul Singer, Rap Artist and Gospel Choir. . A short drama involving fictitious characters depicting a stabbing in a school. . A documentary of interviews with parents of Charlotte Polius, fatally stabbed in Spring 2005; and the school friends of Luke Walmsley, who was tragically killed by a fellow pupil at his school in Lincolnshire two years ago; also the mother of Kieran Rodney Davies who shares her painful experience of losing her son as a result of violence. The DVD will help young people think through both the risks and consequences of violence from the perspective of a number of the characters. It lays down excellent foundations for eliciting principles they can follow in their own lives and enable them to feel safe in their school communities without being 'tooled up'.
